Noga Etzioni Yudkovik engages in sculpture and drawing. Her studio functions as a factory, where she works with woodworking machines, lathes, and various tools, in materials such as oak-tag, cork, and rubber—cheap materials that instill an ascetic feel. In a laborious process, she concocts, takes apart, and reassembles from these diverse materials objects that seem to have been made of wood. Ostensibly heaped at random, these objects are the result of careful planning, during which the artist examines the interrelations between the sculpted parts, and between the sculptures and the space, in a practice that combines sculpture and architecture.

In recent years, Etzioni Yudkovik's work has been distinguished by large-scale longitudinal installations placed on the floor. In this exhibition, the point of view changes, and the objects rise from the floor up, to the ceiling, alongside sculptural works that climb the walls. The columns differ from one another, and each is singled out by distinct qualities, while the object heaps signify how much can be stacked and what the desired height is. Etzioni Yudkovik examines different possibilities of ascent, upward growth on the verge of collapse, just before falling over. Is it penchant for heights or an aspiration for collapse? Between the material's desire to ascend upward and the force of gravity pulling downward, the sculptures find an elusive equilibrium, reaching balance and stability.
