Veteran artist and graphic designer David Tartakover's work investigates the role of applied graphics and the limits of this field's influence. He explores the ways in which the poster shapes social consciousness, constituting a central instrument of free speech and the expression of an activist, critical position. At the same time Tartakover seeks to examine the history and memory of the Israeli cultural heritage through the research, preservation, and revival of the country's pictorial index.
